Assured Nursing Benefit Options

Travel nursing has a lot of inherent perks: professional experience, adventure and travel, flexibility, new friends, and a higher pay rate. But what about traditional benefits? Staff nurses typically receive retirement accounts and health benefits. Electing to receive health and dental insurance, and 401K participation through Assured Nursing can save you money and help nurses save. Premiums deducted from your paycheck are pre-tax, meaning they are excluded from your gross pay. So why not elect to receive this benefit?

We provide two options for medical provided through United Healthcare (UHC). If you elect a medical plan you will be enrolled in a $25,000 life insurance plan through Guardian at no cost to you.

✔️ Buy-Up PPO – United Healthcare Choice Plus

This is a traditional plan with co-pays for office visits and prescriptions. With United Healthcare Choice Plus health plans, you have the freedom to choose a network physician or specialist from the United Healthcare Choice Plus network without visiting a primary care provider (PCP) for a referral. You save money when you use the national network. With Choice Plus, you also have coverage if you use out-of-network providers. Review the linked PDF for more details.

✔️ Core HSA – United Healthcare Choice Plus HSA

Affordable Care plan with co-pays after the deductible has been met for office visits and prescriptions. This health plan includes the option to open a health savings account (HSA), which is a personal bank account that’s designed to help you save and pay for qualified medical expenses. There’s no “use it or lose it” rule, and the money in your HSA stays with you — even if you change health plans, change employers, or retire. Review the linked PDF for more details.

✔️ Dental Insurance provided through Guardian

Dentist choice is important to a lot of people, and with more than 130,000 providers nationwide, Guardian offers one of the largest dental networks around. With so many providers, there’s a great chance you’ll find a nearby network dentist. Most plans pay all or most of the charge for checkups and cleanings — so there’s no reason not to see your dentist for regular services that can be so important to your overall health. Review the linked PDF for more details.

✔️ Vision Insurance provided through Guardian

Vision insurance plans cover routine eye examinations and help pay for glasses, frames, and contact lenses. Even if your eyes don’t need correction, modern life — and digital screens — can create stress and problems for your eyes. Regular eye exams are also important for general health because they can detect diseases like glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy. That’s why everyone in the family needs it. Review the linked PDF for more details.

Supplemental Health Insurance provided through Guardian

Supplemental health insurance doesn’t replace your medical insurance. But it does complement your medical coverage by providing money you can use to cover expenses, such as copays, deductibles, and coinsurance. It can also be used to cover everyday costs, such as rent, groceries, gas, or child care — helping you reduce or prevent financial stress. Review the linked PDF for more details.

✔️ Life Insurance

If something were to happen, life insurance can help beneficiaries manage expenses – from everyday bills to larger obligations like mortgages, car payments, and loans. Not only that, but life insurance can also help employees pay to care for aging parents, or even leave money to charitable organizations.

✔️ Accident Insurance

Accident insurance can cover extra out-of-pocket expenses not covered by health insurance that you might face if you’re injured in an accident. In addition, many plans have an option to receive an added child benefit for injuries related to a sports-related injury.

✔️ Critical Illness Insurance

Critical illness provides a benefit if you become very ill or suffer a serious medical problem, like a heart attack or stroke. It pays in addition to any benefits that are paid under your health plan.

✔️ Assured Nursing offers 401k

Whether you’re an RN just starting out or someone who has been on the travel nurse circuit for years, retirement investing is always a good idea. Many travel nurse agencies like Assured Nursing offer traditional 401(k) plans. The contributions to this plan are tax-deferred. You will only pay tax when it is time to withdraw your funds for retirement. Contact us for more information about this benefit.
